OVERVIEW

CRKT’s M16® line of knives represents a long line of military tools, making each one a formidable ally for civilian cutting chores. Built for function, not fad, this series of knives has been one of CRKT’s most popular designs for years. This model, the M16®-03Z, is a slim design with a spear point blade and is ideal for a variety of carry positions. Utilizes CRKT’s very successful InterFrame construction and tough, textured glass-filled nylon scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. Overbuilt it for rigidity, using solid glass-filled nylon back spacers. The handle is assembled with superior offset Torx® fasteners. The handle is exceptionally rigid and fills the hand perfectly. Tough AUS 8 high-carbon stainless steel blade to give greater everyday utility, and comes with a razor-Sharp edge.

Features the Carson Flipper, which is not only an aid to opening the blade, especially when wearing gloves, but acts as a blade guard when the blade is open. 

This knife also features automated liner safety. Automated liner safety is the locking liner safety innovation taken to the next level. The automated liner safety sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To close the knife, pull the red buttoned safety lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position.
