Czech VZ 58 Bayonet w/ Leather Sheath

This is a genuine, original bayonet made for the Czechoslovakian vz. 58 7.62 x 39mm assault rifle. Resembling the Soviet AK-47, the vz. 58 began manufacture during the late 1950s. A lack of defense funds kept it in service for a long time; the Czech military didn’t start replacing it until 2011 (with the CZ-805 BREN), but the vz. 58 remains the principle assault rifle of the neighboring Slovak army. The grip is comprised of composite wood impregnated with resin. Very good condition; scabbard and knife exhibit some wear.
