This Crusader style axe has a hand forged blade and a tough hardwood handle; it has all the heft and feel of a working axe, but has a blunt edge so you can safely display it without worrying about curious little fingers touching it in the wrong place. In other words, this is a display axe that's made like a real one, not like the cheap display axes on the market that have pot metal blades. The blade has a mildly "distressed" finish.
