OVERVIEW
This poncho uses a design that dates back to the Civil War. Used by North and South, it is just as relevant today. We always carry one when trekking. It's made from rubberized cloth which has been slit in the center to allow it to be slipped over the head. The 16 brass grommets allow ties to be added so it can double as an emergency pup tent. The material is also good to use to collect rainwater and of course cover you and your gear in a downpour. The material around the head slit has been authentically double layered for added strength. The outer edges are hemmed with a double thickness of the same cloth. It also works as a good ground cover. Truly a multi-use material that packs down small for easy carry.
